Trafficking case dropped, pled to lesser charge – 2/8/2016
Client allegedly sold 30 Hydrocodone pills to a Confidential Informant, and was arrested for Trafficking in Hydrocodone – which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 3 years in prison, if convicted.
We found several problems with the Government’s case, and also developed an entrapment defense, which resulted in the case getting dropped from a first degree felony (with a 3 year minimum mandatory) to a third degree felony The Government agreed to a deal under which our client was not convicted and did not get incarcerated.
