Doug Dorner is a leader in his field. He has been practicing law for over two decades and has extensive legal knowledge and experience. He is an effective communicator and has vast courtroom experience. His experience has spanned criminal defense, property claims, complex settlement planning, with a primary focus on family law, giving him an invaluable, comprehensive and practical insight into client representation. His strong advocacy guides his clients through every stage of the legal process through negotiation, mediation, and litigation. Doug started his career as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s office in the 9th Judicial Circuit where he was an effective Assistant State Attorney. There, he gained extensive experience across multiple divisions including Traffic, Misdemeanor, Juvenile, and Felony. Subsequently, Doug went into private practice and worked in various capacities as an attorney, developing his tremendous knowledge and experience. Over the past 25 years, Doug has handled thousands of cases in criminal and family law matters. His extensive experience includes Dissolution of Marriage/Divorce, Paternity, Child Support, Parenting Plans/Child Custody, Time Sharing, and Post Judgment Modifications among others. Doug has also served as Adjunct Professor of Legal Studies at the University of Central Florida, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of legal professionals. Doug attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. There he received a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He received his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University, College of Law inPetersburg, Florida.
