Criminal Trial Attorney Andrew J. “Drew” Long joined Longwell Lawyers in 2025, bringing with him nine years of experience in the legal field. With his impressive knowledge of the law and courtroom skills, Attorney Long adds depth and experience to what is already an elite-level criminal law team at Longwell Lawyers. Andrew earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in 2013, and his Juris Doctor law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2016. Since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2017, Andrew has worked in various areas of law and in different law firm settings, including working as an Assistant Public Defender for approximately 6 years, where he honed his abilities as a criminal defense attorney while handling a large volume of felony and misdemeanor criminal law matters. In his spare time, Drew enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, as well as hiking, disc golf, kayaking, and pick-up basketball.

They made motions to allow me to leave the state and also to dismiss the case. Everything was running behind because of the holidays.
